RESOLUTION # 97-10
HONORING CUB SCOUT PACK #143
FOR THEIR 50TH ANNIVERSARY AS A PACK CUB UNIT
WHEREAS, Cub Scout Pack #143 is celebrating their 50th anniversary as a Pack Cub Unit; and,
WHEREAS, This pack, begun. by Mr. Ralph Hotz, first principal at Claremont School, is made
up mostly of Claremont School boys with additional members from Critter School, Northwood
School and Draper School, which gives the Pack diversity and adds to their learning experiences;
and,
WHEREAS, Terry Hale, cubmaster and Pierce Viers, assistant cub master and Webelo leader,
assisted by Carol Tolbert, Chuck Raynes, Nancy Bishop, Robin Moms, Nancy Manning, Debbie
Yopp, Judy Davis and Doris Etzel provide strong leadership for this active group of cubs and
Webelos; and,
WHEREAS, Wanda East, Jennifer Viers and Mildred Quesenberry are exceptional committee
members providing additional assistance that is vital to the growth and splendid reputation that this
pack enjoys; and,
• WHEREAS, Cub Scout Pack #143 has worked hard over the years and continues to serve the
boys of our area with true dedication.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia
sitting in regular session on March 4, 1997 that Town Council should and hereby does commend
Cub Scout Pack #143 for its outstanding accomplishments.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by duly recorded vote of the Town
Council, on this, the 4th day of March, 1997 as follows:
