RESOLUTION 97-30
HONORING
MS. RUTH A. HARRELL
WHEREAS, Ruth A. Harrell, Clerk of Council, is retiring her position after 15 years of dedicated
and outstanding service, and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Harrell served as Clerk of Council and Executive Secretary to the Town
Manager since November 29, 1982, and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Hanell's career with the Town spanned that of four Town Manager's and
numerous Town Council members. Ms. Harrell was unique in her ability to organize the Town's
archives and to bring order to the volumes of information maintained by the Clerk of Council.
WHEREAS, Ms. Harrell has served all citizens of the Town with fairness, honesty, integrity,
professionalism, kindness and respect, earning the respect and confidence of Town Council,
employees and the community.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in regular session on December 17, 1997, that the Town Council should and does hereby
recognize the significant and lasting contributions of Ms. Harrell to the citizens of the Town of
Pulaski and commends her for her dedication and public service.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council of
the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 17th day of December 1997 as follows:
