Minutes of a special meeting of the Town Counci]. of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, held on the 25th day of July, 1957; at 4 p. m. in the municipal office. There were present: Mayor C. V. Jackson, presiding. Councilmen: W. A. Larson, A. E. Lemons, W. A. Wysor, F. L. Carrico, I. R. Carper Absent Councilmen: W. F. iihite, J. R. Martin, W. S. Cummings Also present: Town Manager: T. B. Noland Clerks Gladys R. Dalton Town Attorney: Garnett S. Moore Visitors: Ev®lyn S. Hall and Bill Flint of the Soutthwest Times. Mayor Jackson called the meeting to order, after which F. L. Carrico gave the invocation. Mayor Jackson called upon Mr. Carrico for a report of his caamnittee on the 3ubdiviaion Control Ordinance matter. Mr, Carrico said it was the Caaanittee•s recommendation that at this SIAL MEETING DISCUSSION OF special meeting Council should go over the ordinance step by step. SU$DIV. CONTROL ORD. AND ITS There was a lengthy discussion of the ordinance and of the changes ADOPTION AND REVISED FORM made in the original form; of the adoption of the revised form on June 17, 1956, all of this being verified by reading from Council Minute Book. On motion of W. H. Wysor, seconded by A. E. Lemons, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the Town Manager again contact, by Vetter, the co. bd. of super- members of the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors, and request visors to be contacted by lettthat they adopt the proposed Subdivision Control Ordinance in the er, re: adoption of hope of preventing the time consuming legal procedure which wil]. Subd.Control Ord.-before be necessary to secure the Court's enactment of the ordinance,. and court proceedings to be started should they fail to adopt the ordinance by August 14, the Town will attempt to have the matter heard in the September Tenn of Circuit Court. Municipalities in which they inquired if the Town would approve or RATE ]NCREASE TABLED disapprr~*e the rate increase as proposed by the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Canpany. On motion of W. A.
