layout of t'rte proposed 2nd Street to 3rd Street connection, pre-
pared by Town ?•ngineerr, and approved by Joe Shumate, Jr., who
was present, and the State Highway Depart,~~ent, which revision
places the originally suggested roadway and a 12 ft, wide
industrial lane within t}-.e existing; b foot right-of-way.
Council, at its adjourned executive meeting of October
27trt, having passed a rr-.solution rccuesting the Highway Department
to make a furt}ter study of the possibility of using First as a
connection street rather than trle 2t.d to 3rd Street proposed, at.d
on motion of n'. A. Larsoiz, seconded by W. S. Cu~~r,tnings, and
unani,~.ously carried by t'rtose present, Council rescinded trtis
resolution; at.d on :notion of 'n~. A. Larsoh, seconded by J. R.

APPROVED REVISED RESOLV'r~D, THAT Councy.l approve the revised layout of

There was a preliminary discussion cf a possible neT~r corporate
boundary line to fit the area under discussion. into the to~~m as well
as probl~:ms connected with water and sewer service and furt:ishirg other
rnunicipai services. The developers assured Council that the de~~elop-
meat would be of the riighest t~Tpe and that the home: built there
would be a credit to the co.~nmunity, and would reflect favorably on
the town's assessed values. after various poit.ts t-Jere discussed at
lergt'rt, Co~.u~cil agreed it ~~TOUld be best to have the Town P~ianager
prepare an estimate of test of providing municipal services and
extension of a water line to best serve the area under the
assumption that there would soon be construction of a new arrrorv
to t'rte south of the area suggested for annexation. The Town
T~lanager stated that this informati or_ could be submitted to Count°il
