Minutes of the special meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Pulaski Virginia, held on the 12th
day of February, 1957, at ~ p. m. in the municipal office.
There were present: Mayor C. V. Jackson, presid~.ng.
Councilmen: J. R. Martin, W. F. Wysor, Jr.~ W. ;~.
Cummings, F. L. Carrico, I. R. Carper
W. A. Larson
Absent: A. E. Lemons, W. F. White
Also present: Town Manager: T. B. Noland
Clerk: Audrey E. Kingrea
Town Attorney: Garnett S. Moore
Director of Public Works: H. C. Jackson
Town Engineer: R. Lloyd Mathews
Visitors: Evelyn S. Hall, Reporter
Mayor Jackson advised that this special meeting
has been called for the purpose of discussing tentative
time-tables for the construction of facilities in the
proposed annexation areas.
The Town Engineer, Director of Public Works and
the Town Manager discussed the feasibility and cost of
proposed water and sewer construction, and the areas that
should be serviced first.
Suggested water and sewer construction schedules
for a five year period were distributed to the Council
with the suggestion that they be studied carefully before
Council meets for final decisions. Also, the Manager was
asked to~prepare a General ~aund "balance sheet" for the
area.
The meeting ad.~ourned at 5:x+5 p. m.
