Imboden, seconded by I. ~r Carper, it was unanimously SALE OF RESOLVED, that the price of trash containers as handl~ki by TRASH CONTAIN the Town be increased from 1.25 to ~~.00, and that the X2.40 b~~pai d ~. in the Municipal Offices before the order is given to anyone t©= deliver the cans. Certain sections of the law were read, acid BOAR the Water Control Boards Regulation No. 1, regarding quarterly REG. N0.1 reports, and ordering a program of pollution abatement, was read in full. The possibility of amending the act to provid® some disc~4etion on the part of th® Water Control Board was discussed, in view o$ th® fact that the General Assembly would be in session in the next ~'ew weeks. The Town Manager pointed out that some official expression from the Council on this problem should be taken in order that ale might be advised as to the handling of quarterly reports and ogler related matters. On motion duly mad® b~ H. R. Imboden, seconded by O~NMal Amos, and'°~carried~by a vote of three to two, APPROP. RESOLVED, that the Town Manager be authorized to cons~lt PRELIM. STUDY with and engage competent engineers to make a p3-eliminary surve~l and report to determine what is required, and the cost,to comply wig requirements of the Water Control Board in stream pollution abatement program, such report not to ~xe~ed the cost of Two Thousand (~2000.Ot~ Dollars, which amount is appropriated, and the engaging of engieers to be done at such time as the Town Manager considers same to b~) essential, ,' CALFEE It was reported by H. R. Crow®11, it was unanimously RESOLVID, that, in event the Pulaski Counts, Inc. continue, the price of Three (3.00) Dollars per game when scheduled, whether played or not, shall be made, with the anderstanding that the sponsors of baseball in the coming season maintain grounds and keeps park fln the same basis as in the past, and the grassing and otherminor repairs, not to include the bleachers, wire or painting the fence, be paid f©r the the Pulaski Counts, Tnc. Runion The minutes of the regular montly meeting helct~on January 3, 1949 were read and approved. _ ~, 2 Robg,K. Sutherland, local attorney, appeared b~fors the Council in regard to tea imposed upon dairies, and repre~snting Farris Brothers Dairy of Dublin, and requested that the Cour~il rescind this secion of the License Ordinance. It was pointed out that dairies were assigned an area in which they must serve dby the State Milk Commission, and they could not withdraw in event ~,ach of the communities being served ahottld imp®se a similiar ts~ It was stated that in the case oP the Farris Brothers Dairy, a~on- siderable portion of the milk sold was produced bg Farris B~bth®rsy and under the state law, the tea cannot be imposed on agric~i.~tural products produced by the seller. No action was taken on the matter.
