SPECIAL The Council met in special session in the Council
SESSION
Chamber of the Municipal Building at 7:00 P. M., January 9, X948.
PRESENT There were present: F. A. Seagle, Acting Mayor;
L. S. Boothe, Chief of Police; Roby K. Sutherl-and, Attorney,'and
Councilmen: T. F. Wirt, C. V, Jacl~son, Howard R. Imboden, ~~. R.
Carper, W. D. Aust, G. C. Hall and Pd. F. White. Absent: M~+yor
A. T. Eskridge:and Verna L. Dalton, Clerk.
PURPOSE OF The Acting Mayor, F.A. Seagle, stated that the meriting

charter and other business coming before-the Council.
After completing study and discussion of said pro~josed
charter, 'on motion of C. V. Jackson, seconded by T. F. Wirth~and
unanimously passed, the Council authorized that the propose
charter be published in the Southwest Times on Sunday, Janu~dry
18th, and that a public hearing be held at the Pulaski Count Court
Iiouse on Tuesday, January 20th at '7:00 P. M. for the purpose of
acquainting the citizens of the Town with the provisions of~the
proposed new charter and hearing any comments or criticisms''that
they might deem proper at that time.
JOINT TOWN- ~ On motion of T. F. Wirt, seconded by C. V. Jackson,
COUNTY RADIO
PROGRAM and unanimously passed, the Council• agreed to the joint tow~i-
county radio program, as has been under negotiation for sevi~ral
months, on the following terms; That the County agree to p~y

• 10.00 per month and pay one-half of maintenance cost, supplies
used, current, etc. for the upkeep and operation of the staion,

and further, that all expense incurred in moving, antenna aid
station and all other necessary equipment or services made ~teces-
sary by above joint use and operation including an additional
house for the service, telephone service, etc. be borne by the
County. ~'
ADJOURN- There being no further business, the Council adjo rned
