SPECIAL SESSION The Council of the Town of Pulaski, '
Virginia met in sp ecial session in the Mayors Office
at 2:00 O~clock, P. M., September 14, 1948.
PRESENT There were present: Mayor Marvin G.Graham,
presiding; Verna L. Dalton, Clerk, and Councilmen: T.F.
Wirt, W, F. White, Howard R. Imboden, G. R. Steger, W.D.
Aust, 0. 0. Crowell, I. R. Carper and L. C. Lemons.
Absent: None.
E.A.BECK On motion of T.F.Wirt, seconded by 0. 0.
APPOINTED
TOII~N MANA GER Crowell and passed by a majority vote, the recommendation
of the special committee considering applications for the
position of Town Mana~?er was adopted, the motion including
the nomination of Mr. E. A. Beck for the office of Town
Manager, term concurrent with the present Council, subject
to the rights of removal contained in the Town Charter, at
a salary of Five Thousand Seven Hundred (5,700.00) Dollars
per year.
DIRECTOR PTTBLIC On motion of V'l.F. White, seconded by H. R.
WORKS OFFICE
CONTINUED Imboden and unanimously carried, the Mayor was requested
to contact Mr. A. W. Gatewood and request him to fill the
office of Director of Public Works until April 1, 1949.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the Council
adjourned at 2:40 Otclock, P. M.
