Council Minutes Pulaski, Virginia, December 1, 19 The Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia met in regular semi-monthly session in the Council Chamber of the Municipal Building at 7:30 P. M., December 2l, 1948. PRESENT There were present: Mayor Marvin G. Graham, presiding; Verna L. Dalton, Clerk; E. A. Beck, Town Manager; L. S. Boottihe, Chief of Police, Roby K. Sutherland, Attorney, and Councilmen: T. F. Wirt, W. F. White, H. R. Imboden, G. R.Steger and 0. 0. 1 Crowell. Absent: W. D.Aust, I. R. Carper and L. C. Lemons MINUTES The minutes of the regular meeting held on December~7, 1948 were read and approved. i TAXICAB The Mayor stated that the hearing for the taxicab orders HEARING as required by Ordinance was irk order, whereupon the Clerk balled the names of all holders of certificates of public convenie ce and necessity and applicants for certificates. CERTIFICATES On recommendation of the Chief of Police, on motion~of PUBLIC CON. & NEC.T. F. Wirt, seconded by 0. 0. Crowell and unanimously earri'd~ AUTHORIZED the Council authorized that certificates be issued for the calendar gear 1948-1949 to the following, who were present:##. Guy Wilson Akers, Roy Everett Aust, Estel Vance Davis, Fredl Pierce Davis, James Evans Gallimore, Bernice Leftric Irvin, l ~I John Henry Kanode, Walter Jackson Kanode, T. D. and J, C, LBpvson, Roland J. Lester, Charles Warren Matherly, Odell H. and Nov la D. Mayberry, Irvin Nathaniel Morefield, William Ralph Nunn, oy Arthur Quesenberry, Ernest Luther Ratcliffe, Dennis Lankford Ratcliffe, George Wesley Ratcliffe, Frank Kidd Redd, samuel arvi~ Stuart, John ftoy Whitaker, William Marvin Wolfe - and also, Robert Paul Hubble and French Nuell Sutphin, those applicant who were absent. 1 TOWN MGR. The Town Manager reported as follows: REPORTS 1. C. C. Kirby of 132 8th Strset, N.W. requested tb~at -C.C.Rirby six pine trees at his property be removed. -Stoker 2.
