M., March 8, 1949. PRESENT There were present: Mayor Marvin G. Graham, presiding Councilmen; I.R.Carper,0.0.Crowell, H.R.Imboden,L.C.Lemons, G.R.Steger,W.F.White, T.F.~V'irt. Absent: W.D.Aust. Also present: Town Manager Clerk: Town Attorney: Treasurer; Chief of Police Visitors: E.A.Beck Verna L. Dalton Garnett S. Moore Mrs. Lottie R.Runion L.S.Boothe R.F.Snyder MINUTES The minut®$ of the regular semi-monthly meeting held on February 22, 1949 were read alld approved. BUILDING On motion duly made by H. R. Imboden, seconded PERMITS by T. F.Wirt, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the following applications for -Lemons building permits be granted: To L.C. Lemons for two-story brick veneer addition to apartment on corner of 8th Street -Bane and Jefferson Avenue, North, to cost 7,500.00; To Ned B. Bane for one-story frame dwelling on west side of Prospect Avenue, between Twelfth and Thirteenth Streets, to cost -Moore X9,000.00; To S. G. Moore (by Jack Moore) for one-story dwelling on north side of 3rd Street, east, between General Chemical Company and 4th Street. O.H.MEREDITH The building permit application of 0. H. BLDG.APPLICATION Meredith for two-story concrete and masonry antique shop on corner of Monroe Avenue and Fifth Street, between Monroe Avenue and Spraul~s Branch, to cost X6,000.00 was presented. No action was taken by the Council. BILLS & The bills and payrolls for the month of PAYROLLS February were read, approved, and ordered paid. Carper, seconded BLDG.PERMIT by G.R.Steger, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the following application for . building permit be granted: To R. F. Bushong that the Town pay one- , half the cost of a curbing wall on his property which was built following sidewalk construction was presented. On motion duly made by T. F. Wirt, seconded by I.PR. Carper, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the Town shall proceed to collect the unpaid portion of sidewalk cost in the amount of X177.42 ~5~v`rleii by Dr. A. M.Bushong. TRAFFIC The Tovm Manager repar~ ted a proposed procedure or~) VIOLATION PROCEDURE handling traffic violations and a suggested ordinance.
