The Council met in special session tonight Gt
7:30 at the mayor's office. There were n ese~ x. T.

The minutes of the regular meeting held on
September 4, 1945 were read and approved.
The ~uayor stated that the ~-ieeting had been.
called, pursuant to action of the Council at its regular
meeting of September 4th, to take action on the future
water supply for toe town, discussed at previous meetings
of the Councils and on other pErtinent matters.
The ~dyor stated that the prospectus requested
of ~+iley ~ Ytiilson, Consulting Engineers of Lynclh~urg~ Va.,
at the last meeting of the council, had been received, together
with their final estimate of the cost of the Complete
Installation of the ®ar~inal Haynes project, and the modified

Haynes project for current installation.
The first estimate - being X715,000 total
estimated construction cost, with the estimated annual
operating cost of ~53,855.U0, based on producing five hundred
and forty-seven million gallons of treated water annually.
The estimated cost of construction, covering

«nnual operating cost of ~45,372.UU, based on producing
five hundred and forty-seven millions gallons of treated
water annually.
Wiley ~ 1~yilson, Consulting Engineers, recommended

installation, with future additions, if and when needed, which
would ultimately complete the project - all in accordance
with t~~e recommenda.tions of ti. V~.Gatewood, Director of rublic
ydorks for the town.

Council at the September 4th meeting, and referred to a comm~tee
for investigation, the committee made the following recommendations:
The repairing of the bleechers at the ball park, the building'i
of ~t~gf--outs, the installation of shotrTer rooms, toilet facilities, &
concession stand to cost approximately ~5,000.UO, and in addition
to this, living ~ua.rters for a caretG.ker to cost approximately

factory arrangements could be made with the baseball clubs fo
the use of the ~'=e]~d::
On motion of T. F'. ~Mirt, seconded by Howard R.
lmboden, and unanimously passed, the recornruendations of the
committee were approved by the Council.
On further motion of I. R. Carper, seconded by F'. ~,~,
Seagle, and unanimously passed, the same committee appointed at
the September 4th meeting of the Council, was authorized to
negotiate with the Pulaski Horse Show Aa$o~t~titap~o work out ~;~

if possible, a mutually agreeable arrangement whereby the ~'.

horse show association could withdraw from the use of Calfee
Park.

matter of Zoning in the town, and it was the sense of the
Council that proper zoning should be given consideration
at this time, and on motion duly made, seconded and
unanimously passed, the totem attorney was directed to
prepare proper zoning ordinance.
CUKFs & The director of public works was asked to compile

CHt~HGES information as to what charges other towns were making
against the property owner, for the installation of curb
and gutter.

corrugated metal warehouse on the north side of Dora High-

standing that materials and constructions to be in com-
pliance with underwriters specifications for such type of
building. To J. L. Sturgill for two-story garage building
brick front and cinder block back, on the south side of
Comierce St., corner of Corru~erce a.nd Lee streets, to cost
