A RESOLUTION HONORING SABRINA HALL
FOR HER ATHLETIC AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to recognize and commend
citizens of the Town who have distinguished themselves in some field of endeavor by achieving honors
and recognition for themselves and the Town; and,
WHEREAS, Sabrina Hall, as a member of the women's track and field teams at Pulaski County High
School, compiled a phenomenal record of both athletic and academic achievement throughout her high
school career; and,
WHEREAS, as a member of the Women's Cross Country team, Sabrina was named All River Ridge
District Cross Country four times, All-Region III Cross Country four times and All-State Cross Country in
her senior year; and,
WHEREAS, as a member of the Women's Indoor Track team, Sabrina was named All River Ridge
District Indoor Track seven times; All-Region III Indoor Track five times and All State Indoor Track three
times; and,
WHEREAS, in continuing her track career with the Women's Outdoor Track team, Sabrina was named
All River Ridge District Outdoor Track nine times, All-Region III Outdoor Track seven times and All-State
Outdoor Track twice as a senior; and,
WHEREAS, Sabrina is the record holder at Pulaski County High School for the 800, 1600, 3200 and
5000 meter runs; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to her athletic achievements, Sabrina distinguished herself academically, ranking
11th in her class with a 4.1 GPA, and received a full scholarship to Milligan College in Johnson City,
Tennessee, as well as a nomination for a B'nai B'rith Award in her senior year;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in
regular session this 17th day of June 2008, does hereby extend its sincerest congratulations to Sabrina
Hall for her outstanding achievements and performance as a student and member of the Women's Track
and Field Teams at Pulaski County High School and extends to her the sincerest best wishes of the
Town Council, Town Staff and the entire community for her continued success in the future.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 17th day of June 2008 by the duly
recorded vote of the Town Council as follows:
