RESOL
HONORING VOLUNTEER CAPTAIN CHARLES L. HAYMORE
FOR 58 YEARS OF SERIVCE TO THE PULASKI FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to recognize and
honor those persons in the community who have rendered years of service to the Town;
and,
WHEREAS, Captain Charles L. Haymore began his volunteer service with the Pulaski
Fire Department on September 1, 1949 rendering distinguished service for 58 years,
until his retirement with the dank of Captain on January 1, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to his duties as a fire fighter, Captain Haymore served as a past
President, Instructor, Lieutenant and Captain in the Pulaski Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, as a certified State Fire Instructor, Captain Haymore is credited with
training many fire fighters both in -the Pulaski Fire Department and Southwest Virginia;
• NOW THEREFORE be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia
sitting in regular session this 15th day of April 2008, that the Town Council does hereby
extend its sincerest thanks and appreciation to Charles L. Haymore for his 58 years of
service as a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Pulaski and for his level of leadership,
knowledge, skill, guidance and genuine concern for the Fire Department and for the
Town of Pulaski and its citizens.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 15th day of April
2008 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as
follows:
