Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Pulaski Town Council held September 4,
1985, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building.
There were present: Vice Mayor James R. Neighbors, presiding
Councilmembers: John A. Johnston, Robert N. Glenn, James M. Neblett,
C. E. Boyd, Jr., Ira S. Crawford, Mary Lou Copenhaver,
Glen K. Aust
Also present: Frank Terwilliger, Town Attorney .
D. E. McKeever, Town Manager
Anne Burgess, Assistant to the Town Manager
Ruth Harrell, Clerk
Visitors: Pierre Thomas and Dee Ann Lindsey of the news
media
The invocation was given by Councilman Boyd.
WAIVER OF NOTICE DF SPECIAL MEETING
We, the undersigned, duly elected members of the Council of the
Town of Pulaski, Virginia, hereby waive notice of a Special Meeting of
said Council at S:OQ.~.m. on the 4th day of
September , 19 85 , for the purpose of a 1`egal matter.

and any other business that may legally come before the Council.
WITNESS our signatures this 4th day of September

Vice Mayor Neighbors advised the purpose of the special meeting was to
discuss a legal matter.
Mr. McKeever requested an Executive Session to consider a legal matter
under 2.1-344 (A6) of the Code of Virginia.
Councilman Neblett so moved that Council go into Executive Session,
Seconded by Councilman Boyd and carried.

At 5:01 p.m. Council went into Executive Session.
At 6:29 p.m. Council returned to Regular Session.
At 6:29 p.m. Councilman Neblett made a motion to adjourn, seconded by
Councilman Boyd and carried.
