Minutes of the Public Hearing of the Pulaski Town Council held May 18, 1983, at
7:00 p.m. at the Pulaski Middle School Auditorium.
There were present: Mayor Raymond F. Ratcliffe, presiding
Councilmembers: John A. Johnston, Pauline G. Mitchell,,Ear1 D. Cabaniss,
C. E. Boyd, Jr ., Andrew L. Graham, Jr., Ira S. Crawf ord,
Alma H. Holston, Glen K. Aust
Also present: Garnett Moore, Town Attorney
H. R. Coake, Town Manager
Ruth A. Harrell, Clerk
Visitors: Dee Lindsey and George Shadroui of the news media
Approximately 45 area citizens
The invocation was given by Councilman Boyd.
Mayor Ratcliffe welcome the citizens and advised that this public hearing had
been scheduled for the purpose of providing the citizens of the Town of Pulaski an
opportunity to ask questions concerning the Consolidation Agreement. A total of
thirteen written questions were received and answered, and three area citizens asked
oral questions.
Mayor Ratcliffe also stated there are many questions regarding consolidation that
have no answer at this time. You may not get all of your questions answered at this
meeting but we will do our best to answer them. If there are questions that require
further study, Council will seek an answer if name is submitted and see that you get
an answer.
At 9:00 p.m., Mayor Ratcliffe thanked citizens for coming to the Public Hearing,
and giving Council their concerns.
