Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Pulaski Town Council
held December 1, 1980 at 12:00 Noon in theCouncil Chambers in the
Municipal Building.
There were present: Andrew L. Graham, Jr. Vice Mayor
presiding.
Councilmembers: C. E. Boyd, Jr., Pauline G. Mitchell,
James M. Neblett, Jr., Robert M. Wallace,
John A . Johns ton
Also present: H. R. Coake, Assistant Town Manager
Gladys R. Dalton, Clerk
Roger A. Williams, Treasurer
Visitors: Jane Graham, The Southwest Times
WAI'JER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
We, the undersigned, duly elected members of the Council of the Town
of Pulaski, Virginia, hereby waive notice of a Special Meeting of said Council'

at L2 :00 Noon on the lst day of December, 1980, for the purpose of re-
scheduling Council's Regular Meeting for 4:00 P. M. December 2, 1980, and
any other business that may legally come before the Council. II

Vice Mayor Graham advised that because of the death of James
E. Marshall, Town Manager, as of this date, the Special Meeting had
CLOSING OF been called to re-schedule Council's Regular meeting of Tuesday,

FUNERAL OF December 2, 1980 and consider any other business that may legally come

before the Council. Mr, Graham recommended that in order that employees
be given an opportunity to attend the funeral for Mr. Marshall, the
Town Officew be closed on Wednesday morning, December 3, 1980.
Councilmember Wallace moved that the Town Offices be closed
December 1, 1980

Motion was seconded by Councilmember Boyd, and carried on the
following vote:

Councilmember Boyd moved that the Regular Meeting of
Council scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, 1980 at 4:00 P. M,
be re-scheduled to Tuesday, December 9, 1980, at 4:00 P. M.
Motion was seconded by Councilman Neblett, and carried on the
following vote:
John A. Johnston - Aye Andrew L. Graham, Jr. - Aye
Pauline G. Mitchell - Aye Arthur L. Meadows - Absent
Robert M. Wallace - Aye Alma H. Holston - Absent
C. E. Boyd, Jr. - Aye James M. Neblett, Jr. - Aye
At 12:10 P. M. Councilmember Neblett moved that Council
adjourn. Motion was seconded by Councilman Boyd, and carried.
