HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-22-75 Minutes of a special meeting of the Pulaski Town Council held SPECIAL CALLED MEETING December 22, 1975 at 4:00 P. M. in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building. There were present: Mayor Raymond F. Ratcliff, presiding. Councilmen: James M. Neblett, Andrew L. Graham, Mason A. Vaughan, Arthur L. Meadows, Blair B. Brockmeyer Absent: C. William Hickam, Jr., Bob J. Clark, William A. House Also present: Town Manager: J. E. Marshall Town Attorney: Garnett S. Moore Acting Clerk: Suellen Burke The invocation was given by Councilman Vaughan. Councilman Neblett moved that Suellen Burke be appointed Acting Clerk of Council. Councilman Vaughan seconded the motion, and it carried. - WAIVflt - We, the undersigned, duly elected members of the Council of the 1 Town of Pulaski, Virginia, hereby waive notice of a Special meeting of said Council at 4:00 o'clock P. M. on the 22nd day of December, 1975, called by Raymond F. Ratcliff, Mayor, in the Council Chambers of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, for the purpose of considering legal requirement; of an amendment to the ordinance providing for the extension of water lines outside the corporate limits of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, an ordinance establishing new penalty for parking, and transacting any other business in connection therewith, or other business that may properly come before said meeting. WITNESS our signatures this 22nd day of December, 1975. „r , ~.~ f.M,j, ,, °'' ~.~~ i F.+ ~ December 22, 1975 Mayor Ratcliff called the meeting to order and stated the purpose of the special meeting was to discuss the legal aspects of several pending ordinances. Councilman Graham moved that Council adjourn into executive session. Councilman Meadows seconded the motion and it carried on the following recorded vote: James M. Neblett - aye Andrew L. Graham - aye Mason A. Vaughan - aye Arthur L. Meadows - aye EXECUTIVE Blair B. Brockmeyer - aye C. William Hiakam,Jr.-absent Bob J. Clark - absent William A. House - absent SESSION At 4:15 P. M. Council adjourned into executive session. Council- HELD AT man Hickam and Councilman House arrived late but attended the SPECIAL executive session. CALLED MEETING At 5:55 P. M. Council man Graham moved that Council return to regular session. Councilman Meadows seconded the motion and it carried. At 5:56 P. M. Mayor Ratcliff declared that Council be back in regular session. He then inquired if there was any further reports or actions necessary to be taken by the Council. At 5:56 P. M. there being no further business, Councilman Vaughan moved that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by Councilman Hickam and it carried.
