This motion was seconded by Councilman Gallimore, and carried unanimously. Mr. Frank Kesling stated he had heard nothing with regards to obtaining some of the stone hauling business, and was advised ~. F. Mr. Larson advised that he had not had time to make a complete study MR. Sept. !~, 1962, 1r P. M. X13 Mr. A. Dow Owens was appointed by Mayor Jackson to fill the unexpired term of Ms. Philip M. S.^~.DL,~~:R Councilman b'uckols felt that the salary of the Mayor and members of Council should be increased, and stated that if it was dons at this time it would not go into effect until four years from now, a~, which time it was possible that an entirely new Council would be seated. Mr. Nuckols then moved that the salary of the Mayor be increased from` iC OUNC I~L ?TOTED 'CO `75.00 to X100.00 per month, or ~1200.OO per year; and that the INCREP.;~E SALARY OF salary of the councilmen be increased from `15.00 to `35.00 per N(AYOR ~.
