Town Attorney T,"core reported that the Suereme Court of Virginia. had refused to grant a ?Writ of F'rr•or in the Lovin~* Field case Airport Trrhich included the Totrn's suit for specific perforr!ance on an opt:i_on TU~s!?~? The Town Attorney explained that for some reason a map on irhich Taas shown the proposed exchange of land between the Town a.nd Pulaski Hospital, Inc. had included an erroneous dimension of plus 'i(7~'~T :ATTY. P~`ayor Jackson reported that the, L ederal Government had ~%iven formal approval to the enlarging of the New River Valley Airport APPROVAL OF Project, involving paving of the: runway extension to a total of ~`~00 Win. GovT, of PAVIPdG °[1"Ti`_' feet, the widening of the taxi~faays to 5O feet ar,:~ the. enlar~_;ement of AT P`RL'.~ the apron area to 250 x 5O0 feet. it Tti7as also reported that the contractor had already begun operation towards enl.ar~;ing the project as above outlines. On motion of ?~. S. Cummings, ;seconded by ?~. A. Larson, and i~~Rt~FD carried on the unanimous vote of those present, it was res olved t':tat the TIPPER 0~.
