Minutes of a special meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, held on the 25th day of November, 1957, at 4 p. m., in the municipal office. There were present: C. V. Jackson, presiding. Councilmen: W. F. White, W. A. Larson, A. E. Lemons, J. R. Martin, F. L. Carrico, W. S. Cummings, I. R. Carper Also present: Town Manager: T. B. Noland Clerk: Gladys R. Dalton Town Attorney: Garnett S. Moore Town Engineer: R. Lloyd Mathews Director of Public Works 8oward C. Jackson Visitors: Dan Rooker of the Southwest Tunes. The meeting was opened with a prayer by the Town Attorney Garnett S. Moore. Council held a lengthy discussion relative to the proposed Bond Issue and dust how it should be presented to the public. On motion of ~-. H. Wysor, seconded by I. R. Carper, and on the follow- ing recorded vote: W. F. White - aye W. A. Larson -aye A. E. Lemons -aye J. R. Martin -aye it was 1 C F. L. Carrico - aye W. S. Cummings -aye I. R. Carper - aye W. H. Wysor - aye RESOLVED, that we offer to the public a Bond Issue in BOND ISSUE REFER ENDUM TO BE COMPOSED OF TWO QUESTIONS two phases covering water and sewer; that there appear on the ballot two questions, one covering water from Raines Hollow in the sum of $630,000.00, and a Sewage disposal Plant with appurtenances in the sum of $1,000,000.00, making a total Bond Issue of $1,630,000..00.; and that the Town Attorney prepare and submit for Council's approval an ordinance incorporating this motion. On motion cif W. F. White, Seconded by J. R. Martin, it BOND ISSUE REFERENDUM TO BE HELD APRIL 8, 1958 was unanimously RESOLVED, that the Bond Issue Election be held on Tuesday, April 8, 1958. On motion of J. R. Martin, seconded by I. R. Carper, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the Town use the firm of Bonding Attorneys, Reed, Hoyt, Taylor and Mashburn of New York City, New York. Martin, it was unanimously RESOLVID that the Governments offer for Advance Plann s GOVT OFFER OF money be accepted; the funds to finance detail plans and specific ADV. PLANNING MONEY ACCEPTED FOR bons for the Sewage Treatment Plant and app~tenances. SEWAGE TR. PLT. As there was no further business, the meeting ad3ourned at 5:30 p, m.
