RESOLUTION APPROVING A VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
PLANNING GRANT APPLICATION IN AN AMOUNT OF UP TO $30,000
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has identified the need for a preliminary
engineering report to evaluate the deteriorated Crestline Water Storage Tank; and,
WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Health-Office of Drinking Water Planning Grant
Program provides funding for projects such as this one; and,
WHEREAS, the Town has reviewed project-planning material and found that the pre-
requirements for the Planning Grant Program have been met for submitting a funding
application;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Pulaski, Virginia hereby
agrees to seek funding from the Virginia Department of Health-Office of Drinking Water
in an amount of up to $30,000;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Manager shall immediately begin to
process a funding application for this project and is authorized to execute any and all
documents to accept such funding contingent upon review and concurrence by the
Town Attorney.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 17th day of August
2010 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as
follows:
