Chambers in the Municipal Building at 42 First Street, NW.
There were present: Mayor Jeffrey S. Worrell
Council: Morgan P. Welker, H. M. Kidd, David L. Clark, Robert A. Bopp,
Joseph K. Goodman
Absent: Joel B. Burchett, Jr.
Town Staff Present: John J. Hawley, Town Manager
Patricia Cruise, Clerk of Council
R. D. Warburton, Town Attorney
Dave Quesenberry, Asst. to the Town Manager
Sherry Boyd, Finance Director
According to the Sign In Sheet, no one from the public was in attendance.
Mayor Worrell called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. He advised that the meeting had been called
to hold a Public Hearing regarding proposed sewer rates and only this topic would be discussed.
Mr. Hawley advised that the Public Hearing had been advertised as required by law. He advised that
this fulfilled action that Council had been working on for several months.
At 5:01 p.m., Mayor Worrell opened the Public Hearing for proposed sewer rates.
There being no comments from the public, the Hearing was closed.
Councilman Clark moved to adopt Ordinance 2011-06, Amending Volume Charges and Fixed Charges
For Sewer Service as written. Councilman Goodman seconded the motion.
Councilman Welker pointed out that the rates were not included in the document.
Councilman Clark withdrew his motion and moved to adopt Ordinance 2011-06, Amending Volume
Charges and Fixed Charges For Sewer Service with the rates as advertised. Councilman Goodman
seconded the motion and carried on the following recorded vote:
Morgan P. Welker -Aye
H. M. Kidd -Aye
David L. Clark -Aye
Joel B. Burchett, Jr. -Absent
Robert A. Bopp -Aye
Joseph K. Goodman -Aye
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 5:04 p.m. on motion by Councilman
Goodman, seconded by Councilman Welker and carried on voice vote.
