RESOLUTION 2012-13
A RESOLUTION HONORING ROBERT A. BOPP
FOR HIS SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF TOWN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Robert A. Bopp has faithfully and honorably served the citizens of the Town of
Pulaski as a member of the Town Council from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2012; and;
WHEREAS, Mr. Bopp was also known and respected for his courtesy and fair treatment of
citizens and staff alike in their dealings with the Town; and,
WHEREAS, in the aftermath of the Tornado Emergency of April 8, 2011, Mr. Bopp
volunteered his time and knowledge in assisting with various tasks during the initial
recovery effort including restoring electrical service to residences; performing damage
assessment; evaluating corrective measures; and assisting the Building Inspector,
Engineering Department and relief agencies working in the aftermath of the disaster; and
WHEREAS, in considering issues brought before the Council, Mr. Bopp insisted that the
Town's policies and operations be conducted in such a manner as to respect the rights
and desires of the citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia sitting in regular session this 10th day of July 2012, that the Town Council hereby
recognizes the contributions of and expresses its appreciation to Mr. Bopp for his
dedicated service to the citizens of the Town of Pulaski as a member of Town Council.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 10th day of July 2012
by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
