HomeMy WebLinkAbout2013-16Resolution 2013-16 Resolution Supporting the Application of LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski For a Certificate of Public Need WHEREAS,. the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia supports efforts to enhance and expand services necessary for the maintenance of the health of its citizens; and WHEREAS, LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski has applied to the Virginia Department of Health for a Certificate of Public Need to offer Stereotactic Radiosurgery to patients at the LewisGale Regional Cancer Center-Pulaski; and, WHEREAS, making this new procedure available will greatly enhance and complement current treatments and therapies available to patients at the Pulaski cancer treatment facility; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in regular session this 17th day of December 2013, that the Town Council hereby supports the application of LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski to offer the procedure known as Stereotactic Radiosurgery and urges in the strongest possible terms for the Virginia Department of Health to approve and issue a Certificate of Public Need to authorize the LewisGale Regional Cancer Center-Pulaski to offer this method of treatment to citizens. This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia this 17th day of December 2013 as follows: Heather L.
