A Resolution Commending
the
Pulaski Middle School Orioles Boys Basketball Team
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to honor and
acknowledge the achievements of those citizens of the town who through their talents and
abilities that have brought recognition to the Town of Pulaski and its residents; and,
WHEREAS, the Pulaski Middle School Orioles boys basketball team, during the 2013-2014
season, compiled a phenomenal record of twenty wins and one loss which set a record for wins
in a single season by a boys team at the school; and,
WHEREAS, the team, while on its way to its extraordinary record, recorded wins over a variety
of teams including perennial powers Andrew Lewis and Woodrow Wilson; and,
WHEREAS, this outstanding achievement is a great source of pride to the citizens of the Town
of Pulaski;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia
sitting in regular session this 18th day of March 2014 that the Town Council does hereby extend
its congratulations and thanks to the members of the Pulaski Orioles Boys Basketball Team for
their extraordinary season and their dedication to reaching the highest level of athletic
competition in representing our community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council commends the coaches, faculty, staff and
parents of Pulaski Middle School for their unwavering support and dedication to the members of
the team and to our community as a whole.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 18th day of March 2014 by
the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski as follows:
