RESOLUTION APPROVING A VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH PLANNING
GRANT APPLICATION FOR AN AMOUNT UP TO $55,000
WHEREAS, staff has determined that it is necessary to do a comprehensive review of
the Town's supply and storage reliability for the main pressure zone that serves the
hospital and to make recommendations to improve the Town's utility services to the
area; and,
WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Health-Office of Drinking Water Planning Grant
Program provides funding for projects such as this one; and,
WHEREAS, the Town has reviewed project-planning material and found that the pre-
requirements for the Planning Grant Program have been met for submitting a funding
application;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia sitting in regular session this 1st day of September 2015, that the Town hereby
intends to seek grant funding for an amount of up to $55,000, from the Virginia
Department of Health-Office of Drinking Water for a planning grant to update the Town's
hydraulic model.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Manager shall immediately begin to
process a funding application for this project and be authorized to execute any and all
documents to accept such funding contingent upon review and concurrence by the
Town Attorney.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted by the duly recorded
vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia this 1st day of September
2015 as follows:
