A Resolution Honoring the Service of Roy David Warburton
as Town Attorney
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia wishes to recognize those
individuals who have assisted and rendered service to the Town of Pulaski and its citizens;
and,
WHEREAS, Roy David Warburton served as the Town Attorney for the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia from November 6, 2007 through June 30, 2016; and,
WHEREAS, as a result of his long legal experience and demonstrated ability, Mr.
Warburton capably advised and guided the Town Council and Administration in dealing
with a wide variety of legal issues and questions regarding the application of the law to the
operation of the Town; and,
WHEREAS, in dealing with individual Town employees who required his assistance in
dealing with legal matters encountered in their work, Mr. Warburton treated the employees
with courtesy, fairness and respect, in addressing their questions and concerns; and,
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, sitting in regular session this 5th day of July 2016 that the Town Council does
hereby extend its thanks and appreciation to Roy David Warburton for his service to and
efforts on behalf of the Town of Pulaski and its citizens in his capacity as Town Attorney.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Council wishes Mr. Warburton continuing success
in his support of and service to the citizens of our community both professionally and as an
effective citizen advocate for our Town.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 5th day of July 2016
by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski as follows:
