Mayor Glenn called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Councilman Penn moved to adopt the Council minutes of the May 24 and May 31, 2016 meeting. Councilman
Kidd seconded the motion and carried on voice vote, with Councilman Goodman abstaining.
The next item on the agenda was Presentations.
Bob Stripling introduced himself to Council and provided a summary of his qualifications. He advised that he
had been asked to facilitate a meeting with Council and staff regarding the overall workings of the Town
government as a whole. He reviewed local government structure in Virginia, the Town Charter,
Council/Manager relations, and the Freedom of Information Act.
At 8:15 p.m., there being no further business, the meeting adjourned on motion by Councilman Goodman,
seconded by Councilman Kidd and carried on voice vote.
