Resolution Amending the Town Personnel Manual Regarding
Accrual, Carryover and Payout of Compensatory, Time
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has determined that
amending personnel policies regarding the accrual, carryover, and payout of
compensatory time upon employee separation from the Town is necessary to
manage the accumulation of compensatory time; and,
WHEREAS, keeping compensatory time levels accrued by employees within
specified limits has been determined by the Town Council as necessary to assist in
reducing the outstanding liabilities of the Town as determined by recent changes to
governmental accounting standards;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, sitting in regular session this 6th day of December 2016, that the Personnel
Manual of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia is hereby amended as follows:
Section 5 P (4) "Banking Time" is hereby amended to read: "The maximum amount
of compensatory time that can be accumulated by a full-time employee is two -
hundred (200) hours. Any eligible time in addition to these hours will be paid as
overtime pay.
This resolution is effective January 1, 2017 and is hereby adopted this 6th day of
December 2016 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
