Resolution Appointing Bill Pedigo as Interim Building Official
WHEREAS, the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (USBC) requires that every
local building division have a building official, appointed by the local governing body, as
the executive in charge of the division; and,
WHEREAS, the position of Building Official for the Town of Pulaski is currently vacant;
and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Bill Pedigo, Town Engineer, due to his education, training and
experience has been adjudged qualified to both meet the position requirements of and
perform the duties as interim building official for the purposes of administering the
Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and the Code of Ordinances, Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, until a permanent appointment to the position is made;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, sitting in regular session this 17th day of January 2017, that the Town Council
hereby appoints Mr. Bill Pedigo, Town Engineer, as Interim Building Official for the
Town of Pulaski, Virginia.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 17th day of January
2017 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as
follows:
James A. Radcliffe -Aye Joseph K. Goodman - Aye
Gregory C. East - Aye H.M. Kidd - Aye
