Resolution Authorizing a Grant Application to the Virginia Department of Health
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has previously applied for funding for various
drinking water projects in the Town; and,
WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Health -Office of Drinking Water has funded several
drinking water projects throughout the region and seeks eligible projects; and,
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski's Engineering Department and Town Manager's Office
have reviewed project planning materials and found that the pre -requirements have been
met for submitting a funding application;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, sitting in regular session this 3rd day of April 2018 that the Council hereby
authorizes a grant application to the Virginia Department of Health -Office of Drinking Water
for additional funding for the following project described as "Water Improvements" in the
amount of $1,781,000.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Manager is hereby authorized to submit funding
applications for these projects and to sign any and all documents to accept such funding
contingent upon review and concurrence by the Town Attorney.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this3rd day of April 2018
by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
