Resolution Recognizing the Service of Steven Michael "Mike" Hall
to the Citizens of the Town of Pulaski
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to recognize the service and
unique contributions of long-term employees of the Town; and,
WHEREAS, Stephen Michael "Mike" Hall was a long time employee of the Town who rendered
years of service both as a volunteer member of the Pulaski Fire Department and as a staff member
of the Engineering Department, and,
WHEREAS, "Mike" as he was called, began his service as a volunteer member of the Pulaski Fire
Department on November 1, 1971 and served the department as an active member until his
passing on August 3, 2018, reaching the rank of Lieutenant during his 463/4
years of service to the
department; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to his service as a firefighter, "Mike" also served as a staff member of the
Engineering Department, starting as an Engineering Aide on May 5, 1969, and serving in that
department until his retirement on January 2, 2004, having reached the grade of Engineering
Technician II during his 35 year career in the Engineering Department, and,
WHEREAS, "Mike" compiled a cumulative total of 81 3/4 years of service as a member of both the
Pulaski Fire Department and the Engineering Department;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting
in regular session this 18th day of September 2018, that the Town Council does hereby recognize
and express its appreciation for the service of Steven Michael "Mike" Hall to the citizens of the
Town of Pulaski;
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council does extend its sympathy and condolences to the
family of Steven Michael "Mike" Hall in the loss of this dedicated and talented man.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 18th day of September 2018
by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
