A Resolution of Appreciation and Thanks to Robert "Nick" Glenn
for His Service to the Town of Pulaski
WHEREAS, Robert N. "Nick Glenn has faithfully and honorably served the citizens of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia as Mayor of the Town of Pulaski from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Glenn has both served both as a member of and as Chairman of the New River
Airport Authority since 1984, an ongoing tenure of 34 years, and,
WHEREAS, given his interest in planning and the Town's economy, Mr. Glenn served as a
member of the Town's Planning Commission starting on February 5, 2002, further serving as
Chairman from January 14, 2008, until his retirement as Chairman on February 10, 2014; which
was followed by a return to the Commission as Council representative from July 1, 2016 to June
30, 2018 for a total of 14 years of service on the Planning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Glenn served on the Town Council from July 1, 1984 to June 30, 1988 and again
from January 16, 1990 to June 30, 1994 and as Mayor from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018 marking
10 and one-half years of service on the Council; and,
WHEREAS, the cumulative years of service by Mr. Glenn to the Town of Pulaski total 58 and one-
half years;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting
in regular session this 24th day of July 2018 that the Town Council hereby recognizes this
remarkable tenure of service and expresses its appreciation to Mr. Robert N. "Nick" Glenn for his
dedicated service to the citizens of the Town of Pulaski as Mayor and Councilmember of the Town
of Pulaski, member and Chairman of the Planning Commission, and as representative to and
Chairman of the New River Airport Commission.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 24th day of July 2018 by the
duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
