Resolution Seeking Funding from the Virginia Department of Health -Office of
Drinking Water For Lead -Lined Service Replacement
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski has applied for funding for various drinking water
projects in the Town; and,
WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Health -Office of Drinking Water has funded
several drinking water projects throughout the region and seeks eligible projects; and,
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski's Engineering and Town Manager Office has reviewed
project planning material and found that the pre -requirements have been met for
submitting a funding application;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, sitting in regular session this 19th day of March 2019, that the Town Council
does hereby vote to seek additional funding from the Office of Drinking Water for the
following project;
Lead Service Line Replacements $100,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Manager is authorized by the Town
Council to submit funding applications for these projects and sign any and all
documents necessary to accept such funding contingent upon review and concurrence
by the Town Attorney.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 1911 day of March
2019 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as
follows:
