A Resolution Honoring the 2018-2019 Lady Cougar Varsity Basketball Team for Their
Outstanding Season
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to recognize and com-
mend the students of Pulaski County High School for their the achievements and honors; and,
WHEREAS, the 2018-2019 Lady Cougar Varsity Basketball Team compiled an outstanding season
record of 22 wins and 9 losses on their way to an appearance in the VHSL Class 4A State
Championship game; and,
WHEREAS, during their remarkable season, this group of exceptional young women brought
a new sense of excitement and enthusiasm to their community and to their school and demonstrated
to the delight of their fans and the chagrin of their opponents the true meaning of teamwork and their
sheer tenacity and determination to never quit no matter how tough the game or the opposition;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in regular session this 2`" day of April 2019, that the Town Council does hereby extend its
sincerest thanks and congratulations to the members of the 2018-2019 Lady Cougars Varsity
Basketball Team for an exceptional season and for representing our community and our high school
in the finest tradition of Cougar athletics.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Council commends Coach Brad Sutphin and his staff
for their continued service to and mentoring of the students of Pulaski County High School.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 2"d day of April 2019 by the
duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
