A Resolution Applying to the
Virginia Dam Safety, Flood Prevention and Protection Assistance Fund
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Virginia Dam Safety, Flood Prevention and
Protection Assistance Fund, it is necessary that a resolution be received from the
applicant to formally adopt a resolution requesting assistance from the Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia requests the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation to consider a
request for funding from the Virginia Dam Safety, Flood Prevention and Protection
Assistance Fund for services to complete an Updated Floodplain Ordinance submitted
by the Town of Pulaski.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town of Pulaski hereby agrees to provide a
minimum 50 percent matching contribution for this project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town of Pulaski will be responsible for
maintenance and operating costs of the system after installation.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 18th day of
February 2020 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia as follows:
