Resolution Appropriating Matching Funds for DCR Grants
for Gatewood Dam Studies
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski has been successful in securing four grants from the
Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) for four studies to evaluate Gatewood Dam
and its environs; and,
WHEREAS, these four grants require a fifty percent match for pairing with an equal amount in
grant funds from DCR for a total match from the Town of $43,500; and,
WHEREAS, appropriation of funds requires the formal action of Town Council by resolution;
NOW THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia
sitting in regular session this 3rd day of March 2020, that the following appropriations are
approved for the local matches for each corresponding grant as listed below, for a total amount
of matching funds not to exceed $43,500:

This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 3rd day of March 2020 by the
duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski as follows:
