1. Call to Order

Mayor Clark called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
2. Roll Call
The roll of Council was then called. Present were Mayor Clark; Mr. Clontz; Mr. Dawson; Mr. East; Mr.
Goodman; Mr. Penn; and Mr. Radcliffe. Since all members of Council were in attendance, a quorum was
present to conduct business.
3. Guests and Visitors
Mayor Clark said the primary purpose of the meeting was the Closed Session but added that Ms. Hair asked
to have the floor for a minute. At this point in the proceedings, Ms. Hair notified Council that she would no
longer be with the Town of Pulaski as of July 5th in order to pursue a different career. She wanted to thank
Council for the opportunity to work for the Town of Pulaski. She said she would still be volunteering at the
Farmer's Market and at special events throughout the New River Valley including the Town of Pulaski. Again
she thanked the Council for the opportunity to work with them.
4. Closed Session under Virginia Code 2.2-3711 (A) (1)
Mayor Clark then requested a motion to enter Closed Session for one item under Va. Code 2.2-3711 (A) (1),
a personnel matter concerning the Town Manager's evaluation.
Mr. Goodman moved to enter the Closed Session. The motion was seconded by Mr. East and approved on
the following roll call vote:

Brooks R. Dawson -Aye G. Tyler Clontz -Aye
Gregory C. East -Aye James A. Radcliffe -Aye
Council entered Closed Session at 5:02 p.m.
Mr. Radcliffe left the Closed Session and the meeting at 5:59 p.m.
Council returned from the Closed Session at 6:11 p.m.
