A Resolution Recognizing Skyline Bank's Assistance to the Town of Pulaski
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to recognize those
businesses who have rendered assistance to the Town during extraordinary events; and,
WHEREAS, the arrival and spread of the Corona Virus resulted in significant disruption to the
daily life of the citizens of the Town of Pulaski and also placed them at risk for contracting the
heretofore unknown virus; and,
WHEREAS, a solution was needed for the Town's Finance Department to continue operations
while protecting both employees and the public from potential contact with and infection by the
virus; and,
WHEREAS, Skyline Bank offered the use of its facility at 1000 East Main Street as a temporary
location for the Finance Department to operate from, using the facility's drive through window to
conduct business without either the public or the employees coming into contact, thus assisting
in preventing exposure of all concerned to the virus;
WHEREAS, the temporary arrangement worked well and received complements from members
of the public;
NOW THEREFORE be it RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia
sitting in regular session this 7th day of July 2020, does hereby publicly commend and thank
Skyline Bank for their cooperation and assistance to the Town of Pulaski and its citizens in
providing facilities for customers and employees of the Town to safely transact their daily
business with protection and confidence during this unique and unprecedented national
situation.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 7th day of July 2020 by the
duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
