Chambers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
Mayor: Shannon Collins, presiding
Councilmen Present G. Tyler Clontz Brooks R. Dawson; Greg East
Lane R. Penn; James A. Radcliffe; Michael Reis
Staff: Jordan Whitt, Social Media Manager/Acting Clerk
Mayor Collins called the Council to order at 5:45 p.m.
Roll was then taken with Mr. Dawson, Mr. Penn, Mr. Radcliffe and Mr. Reis present. Mr. East
and Mr. Clontz joined the meeting after Roll Call
Mr. Reis then moved to reconvene from the September 15, 2020 Council meeting. The motion
was seconded by Mr. Dawson and approved by affirmative vote of Mr. Dawson, Mr. Penn, Mr.
Radcliffe and Mr. Reis.
Mr. Reis then moved to go into Closed Session under Va. Code 2.2-3711 (a) (1) for personnel
matters concerning interviews for prospective employees. The motion was seconded by Mr.
Dawson and approved by affirmative vote of Mr. Dawson, Mr. Penn, Mr. Radcliffe and Mr. Reis.
Council went into Closed Session at 5:50 p.m. and returned at 7:45 p.m.
Mr. Clontz moved to certify that only the issues for which the Council went into Closed Session
were discussed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Reis and approved by unanimous roll call
vote of the Council:
Lane R. Penn -Aye James A. Radcliffe -Aye
Brooks R. Dawson -Aye G. Tyler Clontz -Aye
Gregory C. East -Aye Michael P. Reis -Aye
Mr. Penn then moved to go into recess until 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020. The
motion was seconded by Mr. East and approved by Council.
The meeting was then recessed at 7:46 p.m.
