Resolution Appropriating Funds from the General Fund
For the General Chemical Company Remediation Grant
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski seeks to rehabilitate and reuse former industrial properties
which may offer new uses for the Town and its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, an opportunity to rehabilitate and reuse the former site of the General Chemical
Company has presented itself to the Town; and,
WHEREAS, funding from the Town will be required to assist in the process of rehabilitation and
reuse of the property;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia
sitting in regular session this 6th day of October 2020, that the Town does hereby appropriate an
amount not to exceed $108,000 from the Town's General Fund undesignated fund balance for
the remediation effort on the General Chemical property.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 6th day of October 2020 by
the duly recorded vote of the Pulaski Town Council as set forth below:
