f A Resolution Recognizing the.Service of Captain Brian Cole
Upon His Retirement from the Pulaski Fire Department
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town' of Pulaski' i - rginia desires to extend its recognition to those
employees who upon their retirement have rendered a-careerof-service through the performance of their
duties to the Town of Pulaski -and its citizens;, and,
I WHEREAS, Captain Briah,Cole has served ,th;eit6wn for total of_twenty years, joining the Fire
Department as a volunteer'in December'of 1997, thepn joining the}Depafrtment full. time in April of 2001 as a
i firefighter/engineer; and,-

WHEREAS, Captain Cole, due to his constant training and dedication, rose, steadily through the ranks of the
i Fire Department,resulting in;his promotion -to Sergeant--in-March-2002 and to Captain in April 2008
as supervisor of.C-:Shift;_.and,
;'WHEREAS, in addition'to his supervisory duties and re_ sponding to Departmental call- for.assistance,..Captain
Cole presided over the Membership•Committee.which interviewed' -and evaluated potential candidates forthe
i position;of fi're,fig' hter and represented the Pulaski Fire�Department on the Pulaski County Fire...Protection
!Committee' which is composed,of members from all the County's fire departments; and,
j WHEREAS, the -most important duty, in the eyes of his, fellow employees performed by Captain,�Cole is his
service as the head chef for the annual Beef Stew and Barbe' ue-held each year during Fire;_Preven'tibr `
Week in which-over°500 people are fed; and, -
WHEREAS' Captain, -'Cole has always done what was:!asked of him in performing a task correctly and in:a
safe manner exhibiting his personal dedication to the community and his fellow firefighters; ;
I NOW, THEREFORE be. it RESOLVED, by the Town'Council sitting in regular.session;this,20th'day_of=April:

i 2021 that the Council does hereby commend and thank Captain Brian Cole for his 20 years'of;,`dedicated
service to the Town -and the Pulaski Fire. Department;
BE IT FURTHER -RESOLVED that the Town Council and all Town employees exte'nd'to Captain Cole their'
best wishes for a fulfilling,and rewarding retirement for -a -job well done; f
