A Resolution Honoring the 2020-2021 Lady Cougar Varsity Basketball Team for Their
Outstanding Season
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to acknowledge and
commend the students of Pulaski County High School for their achievements and honors; and,
WHEREAS, the 2020-2021 Lady Cougar V4sity,Baskeiball Team compiled an outstanding record of 12
wins and 1 loss winning the Class 4 Region;D'Champio' 'ship for the second straight year, and making
their second appearance in the VHSL Class:4A:State:.Championship game for the second time out of the
past three seasons overcoming the difficulties -and aduefsities caused by the current conditions nation-
wide; and,
WHEREAS, the outstanding efforts of this group of exceptional, talented and determined young women
continues the proud tradition of Cougar.athletics in=their display of`ability, teamwork, dedication and spirit;
and, =
WHEREAS, the achievements of the 2020 2021 Lady Cougar Varsity Basketball Team is a source of
great pride for our community and its citizens; t
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the. Town. Coun_ciI of :the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in
regular session this 18th day'ofMay 2021, that the -Town Council does here by extend its sincerest
gratitude and congratulations;16the each..member;.of 4the 2020=2021 LadyfCougars Varsity Basketball
Team for their outstanding season and'for [epresentirig.our community. inthe finest tradition of Cougar
Athletics; !
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Council commends Coach'Scott Ratcliff and his staff for
giving of their time and talent in serving. and: mentoring the students at Pulaski County High School.
This resolution is effective upon'adoptio'n and is theCehy:adopted this 18th day of May 2021 by the duly
recorded vote of the Town Council of th'e Towni of Pulaski; Virginia.as follows:
