A Resolution Honoring the 2020-2021 Lady Cougars for Their Outstanding
Performance at the State Indoor Track and Field Competition
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to recognize and
applaud the students of Pulaski County High School who have distinguished themselves by their
performance in representing the school and dour community; and,
WHEREAS, during the 2020-2021 track, season1dbr Lady Cougars qualified to participate in the
Class 4A State Indoor Track and Field cbmpetitidn,!.,w'here they distinguished themselves by finish-
ing sixth in the state out of 28 other schools participating,. in the competition; and,

WHEREAS, the athletic skill, determination''`and dedication of Kelsey Arnold, Allyson Castle, Clair
Dunnigan and Madison Woolwine embodies the finest,tradition`of,Cougar Athletics in
representing themselves, _the_ ir�school and their','community on°the field-of_athletic competition; and,
WHEREAS, despite,the;uncertainties:and difficu,ties of,the current times,',the. achievements of these
four young women area demonstration of their per'son'al commitment to excellence in their sport
which is a source of great prideto our=comrnunity� ;
NOW, THEREFORE be it-RESOLVED,by.the Town Council"of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting
in regular session this 18th:day of May, 2021,:that.th'e Town Counci[does hereby extend its
sincerest thanks and congratulations to Kelsey'Arn'old,-Allyson Castle, Clair Dunigan and Madison
Woolwine for their superb"perfo.�mance in the Class 4"A State;=lndoor`Ti,4 and Field
competition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEDthat the Town Co,uricil thanks,;the coaches and staff for their
dedication and hard work to bang out�thee best in our athletes and students of Pulaski County High
School, who are truly the'lpride:,.of Pulaski -County° �i
This resolution is effective: upon _adoption and is hereby,_adop`ted this 18th day of May 2021 by the
