A Resolution Recognizing the Pulaski County Cougar Cross Country Team
for Their Success During the 2020-2021 Season
WHEREAS, the Town Council and the Citizens of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desire to commend
and congratulate the student -athletes of Pulaski County High School for their successes and
achievements in representing our community in upholding the highest standards of Cougar athletics;
and,
WHEREAS, Pulaski County High School has ins its athletic history fielded many superb athletes in
cross country competition: and,
WHEREAS, the 2020-2021 Pulaski County Cross ACountry team has added to that proud tradition by
winning the Class 4 Region D Cross Country meet; and,.;
WHEREAS, due to their dedication and,.commitment to excellence, six members of the team earned
All Region Honors for their outstanding 'performance .and competitive effortand five of these
individuals advanced further to: qua if ':fo,r the State Cross Country Mee#,

WHEREAS, cross countrycompetition requires a person with,'a.special dedication to put in the long
hours of training and conditioning necessary, not only to, reach their limit but to surpass it and reach
their highest level of performance, competition a'nd athleticism; and,
WHEREAS, the members of th'e Pulaski County Cross Country -team through their achievements
this season, have demonstrated that special dedieati'on alongA:with;
