A Resolution Recognizing the Pulaski County High School Wrestling Team for Their
Appearance at the State Wrestling Tournament
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town -.of -Pulaski„Virginia desires to recognize and commend
the student -athletes of Pulaski County High (Schoolfor their willingness to represent their school,
their community and themselves in competition in�the:fnest tradition of Cougar athletics; and,
WHEREAS, wrestling is a demanding sport;`requiring', conditioning, endless hours of training and
.practice; and the mental discipline to focus, completely during the conduct of a match; and,
WHEREAS, the Pulaski County High -School Wrestling Team, as`a-reflection of their dedication,
ability and high level of skills sent ten :wrestiers;to .the State Tournament 'iri"Virginia Beach, which
was one of the largest delegations of _Cougar wrestlers;to corxpete in thatoevent in many years; and,
WHEREAS, the Town Council believes the hard work and dedication of each., individual member of
the Wrestling Team, who qualified to:compete with the best'wrestlers in. the ',Commonwealth as
representatives of Pulaski,Cou:nty, High School, is worthy of recognition and commendations for a
job well done;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED'by the Towri-Council of the Townz,of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting
in regular session this 18th day of,May 2021 that'°the Town ,C'ouncil' does extend its sincerest
gratitude and thanks to the Pulaski Cbunty`High'SchoolWrestlhng Team for their recent competition
at the State Wrestling Tournament,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED :that the Town Council expresses its thanks and support for the
coaches and staff who give ofthemselves in seruicetothe students,of,Pulaski County High School.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 18th day of May 2021 by the
duly recorded vote of the Town. Council of the Town of, Fulaski,' Virginia;as`follows:
