Resolution Authorizing Appropriation of American Rescue Plan Act Grant Funds
WHEREAS, the Federal Government, in response to the economic disruption caused by
the COVID-19 Pandemic, has appropriated grant funds through the American Rescue Plan
Act (ARPA) to communities throughout the nation to assist in their recovery from the
effects of the pandemic; arid,
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski received $4,520,640 as its first transfer on June 30, 2021
from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), with a second transfer expected in
approximately 12 months; and,
WHEREAS, the Town Council conducted a duly noticed, public hearing on the
appropriation of these funds on July 6, 2021 in which the comments of the public were
considered;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia sitting in regular session this 6th day of July 2021"that the grant funds from the
American Rescue Plan Act disbursed to the Town of Pulaski, Virginia are hereby
appropriated as shown below:
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 6th day of July 2021
by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
