Resolution Honoring Fire Marshall Timothy "Todd" Garwood Upon His Retirement
From the Pulaski Fire Department
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski; V.irginiti desires to recognize and commend those
employees who, upon their retirement, have rerndered.a career ofsery ce to the citizens of the Town of
Pulaski; and r '
WHEREAS, Fire Marshal Garwood has servedthe Town as a Volunteer Firefighter; Career Engineer/
Firefighter and Fire Marshal as a member of the"Pulaski Fire'Deparhment; and;,
WHEREAS, Mr. Garwood began jhis service to the community and ;Fire Department as a volunteer serving
from August 4, 1986 to January1;1988, from Jahuary: 25, =1991 to July 9, ;1993; 'and from November 17, 2000
to January 28, 2002 for a total of five years of volunteer service; and, { -`
WHEREAS, Mr. Garwood joined the Fire.Departrnentfiull time as a Career En'gi,nJeer/Firefighter as of
January 28, 2002,and served�;in that capacity -until .he was�;promoted to Fire Sergeant on April 14, 2008,
after which he was promoted to Fire Marshal on July 6; 42'009 and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Garwood retired on February 1, 2022 completing 20 years of service; as a paid member and
five years of volunteer service as a.rriembe- of the P01ask i "IF ire,Depart

NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED byAh'e Town Councd;of the Town=of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in regular
session this 3rd day`of.February 2022, that the Town Council extends its°,sincerest thanks and appreciation to
Fire Marshall Timothy -Todd --Garwood for. his dedicate* d`service m presery ng both life and property of the
citizens of the Town of.Pulaski ,as a. member_of the>Pulaski Fire pepartment arid as Fire .Marshal.
BE it FURTHER RESOLVED"=that the Town Council and Town Employees exten''d to M_r. Garwood their best
wishes for an enjoyable and rewarding
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 3rd day of February 2022 by duly
recorded vote of the Town Council of the T6wh of Pulaski, Uirgiriia as follows :.
