Resolution in Appreciation of School Personnel During Unprecedented Times
WHEREAS, the roles and contributions of teachers, supervisors, and other school staff in building and
enhancing the civic, cultural, and economic well-being of the Town of Pulaski, and,
WHEREAS, education and knowledge are the current and future strength of society; and,
WHEREAS, teachers, supervisors, and other school staff have earned and deserve the respect of students
and community members for their selfless dedication to the future of the children of the Town of Pulaski;
and,
WHEREAS, during the most challenging of times the past two years, teachers and other educational staff
have stepped up in new and different ways and roles to support the needs of the community and the
children; and,
WHEREAS, it is vital that we raise public awareness of the incomparable contributions of the teachers,
supervisors, and other school staff, as well as promote a greater respect for and understanding of the
sacrifices made by these professionals; and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in regular
session this 2 1t day of June that the Town Council thanks the teachers, supervisors, and other school staff
of Pulaski County Public Schools and promotes the profession of teaching and the contributions of
educators during times of crisis by encouraging the community to recognize these professions.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted the 2 1t day of June 2022 by the duly
recorded vote of the Town Council of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
