October 24, 2023
1. Mayor called the meeting to order at 10:14 a.m. and asked for a roll call with a
confirmation of the adjourned meeting from October 17, 2023.
Gregory C. East- Aye
Jeremy L. Clark- Aye
Brooks R. Dawson- Aye
James A. Radcliffe- Aye
G. Tyler Clontz- Aye
Michael P. Reis- Aye
Mayor Collins- Aye
2. Discussion of the involvement of the Town Manager in the interview process occurred.
The motion was made by Mr. East and seconded by Mr. Radcliffe to allow the Town
Manager to sit with the Berkley Group during the interview process and allow her input
in between candidates.

G. Tyler Clontz-Nay
Michael P. Reis- Nay
The motion was made by Mr. East and seconded by Mr. Clark to allow the Town
Manager to sit in a separate room from the candidates during the interview process so
answers could be heard and allow her input in between candidates.

3. The Mayor asked for a motion to go into Closed Session to discuss the following item:
a. VA Code 2.2-3711 (A) 1 (1 item)- Appointments to Town Manager
The motion was made by Mr. Reis and seconded by Mr. Clark.

Open Session 5:00 p.m.
4. Certification of Closed Session- The Mayor asked for a motion to certify that only the
following items were discussed in Closed Session:
